Rich Communication Services (RCS)

RCS is an advanced A2P messaging service that offers enhanced functionality and customization compared to SMS and MMS. Also known as RCS Business Messaging (RBM), it allows sending branded messages containing multimedia, buttons, barcodes, call-to-action options, and more. RCS uses mobile carriers to deliver messages. Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a communication channel between mobile telephone carriers and between phone and carrier, aiming at replacing SMS messages with a text-message system that is richer, provides phonebook polling (for service discovery), and can transmit in-call multimedia.
