Message Length
Messages to Malaysian networks have a character limit of 153. All non person-to-person traffic in Malaysia must begin with 'RM0.00', which takes up the first 7 characters of any message. This reference indicates that the messages are free for the receivers of the messages. If your message does not begin with 'RM0.00', operators will add it to your message.
Concatenated SMS
For SMS messages exceeding 153 characters, ensure to start the message with 'RM0.00'. Failure to do so may result in non-delivery or altered content upon delivery.
Virtual Mobile Numbers
In Malaysia, you cannot use virtual numbers for sending transactional (OTP) or marketing content. This can result in messages getting blocked from the local operators.
