Video API v1.9.2 Release Notes
Date of Release: February 4, 2021
EnableX Video API v1.9.2 provides the following new features in Web, Android, and iOS SDKs:
Web, Android, and iOS SDKs
-
Breakout Rooms: EnableX introduces breakout rooms that participants of a video session can join for separate discussions and then rejoin the video session. Breakout rooms allow the participants to meet in smaller groups. These rooms are completely isolated in terms of audio and video from the main video session. All methods and events to implement breakout rooms are introduced in the SDK toolkits. For more information, see:
-
Moderated Entry to a Room for Particapants: EnableX introduces moderated participant entry to a room through "knock" room settings. In knock-enabled rooms, participants are awaited and host is notified about the awaited participants. The moderator decides whether to allow or deny entry for the awaited participants through corresponding method call. All methods and events to implement the moderated participant entry are introduced in the SDK toolkits. For more information, see:
-
Participants Wait for Moderator to Join First: Meeting hosts are provided the ability to force all participants to wait for them to join the meeting first. Until the host joins, the awaiting participants cannot see or communicate with each other. This is implemented through"wait-for-moderator" room settings. When a moderator joins a session, the awaited participants are automatically admitted to the session. Subsequently, all new participants are automatically admitted to the session.
